Task 1. ICT matters in the classroom! A summary of the legal framework of the use of ICT in the ESO
As we can see in the Spanish curriculum, the use of ICT is present in the teaching of any language and, in addition, in any subject that we may think of. These particular cases show us the importance of technology in the classroom and, in our case, in the English language.
If we pay closer attention to the document, we can appreciate that the use of ICT appears in any single level of the ESO, from 1st of ESO to 2nd of Bachillerato. It is explicitly addressed in "Bloque 5: Elementos transversales a la asignatura". In this section, which repeatedly appears in all their respective sections of the other levels of ESO, the use of ICT is completely encouraged. For example, it is stated that teachers should appreciate its positive aspects to investigate and contrast information. Plus, its usage is motivated since it can help students to collaborate and communicate. The different tools that ICT can offer us make our students share their ideas, as well as create their own and judge someone else's. Finally, it is also interesting to highlight that the ultimate aim of the inclusion of ICT in the classroom is to create a collective producte (un producto o meta colectivo, as stated in the document) in which students can learn from their own progress.
